BACH'S BAPTISM IN EISENACH 1685
Johann Sebastian Bach, perhaps the greatest composer who ever lived, was born in Eisenach on March 21st (Julian calendar) or March 31st (Gregorian calendar), 1685. He was baptized on March 23rd in the Georgenkirche.
